Regulatory Framework

This platform is operated in compliance with:

1. Scope of Application

These Terms govern access to and use of the Looqma platform operated by Hapirescue ("Looqma"). By accessing the platform, you unconditionally accept these Terms.

2. Service Description

Looqma is a digital marketplace enabling consumers to purchase food from partner businesses at discounted prices, especially during off-peak hours. Looqma acts as an intermediary and is not the seller of food products.

3. Eligibility & Registration

Users must be at least 18 years of age and provide accurate registration information. Users are solely responsible for account security.

4. Ordering & Payment

Each confirmed order constitutes a binding purchase agreement between the user and the partner business. Prices are inclusive of applicable Egyptian VAT and denominated in Egyptian Pounds (EGP). Payment is processed via our PCI-compliant provider.

5. Cancellation Policy

Deals may be cancelled up to 4 hours before the stated pickup window. After this deadline, refunds are subject to the partner's discretion. Uncollected orders are non-refundable.

6. Food Quality & Liability

Looqma does not prepare or inspect food products. Individual partner businesses bear full responsibility for food safety compliance under EFSA regulations. Looqma's liability is limited to the value of the individual transaction.

7. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. For users located in the EU/EEA, GDPR additionally applies. Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by Egyptian law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.

9. Amendments

Looqma reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time with reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

2. Data We Collect

We collect: account data (name, email, phone number), transaction data (orders, payment tokens — no raw card data), location data (for store proximity), and anonymised usage analytics. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is based on: (a) performance of a contract, (b) legitimate interests, (c) compliance with legal obligations, or (d) your explicit consent, depending on the type of processing.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account plus 12 months. Financial records are retained for 5 years as required by Egyptian tax law.

5. Your Rights (PDPL Art. 17–23)

You have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your data, as well as to object to processing. Requests: privacy@hapirescue.com

6. International Data Transfers

Where data is transferred outside Egypt (e.g. cloud infrastructure), adequate safeguards under PDPL Art. [X] are in place.
